Just Because You’re Breathing Doesn’t Mean You’re Alive

Okay you guys, I’ve been looking for a new day job from my home city lately. After some serious brainstorms about what I want to do with my life I got employed to the most amazing clothing company. I start as a visual merchandiser which seems like a perfect job for me. It’s close enough to my visual backround, but still far enough from everything else I do in my life. I didn’t actually want to find a graphic designer’s job, because the industry is filled with all sorts of companies, and to be honest I haven’t faced a company with my kind of people. The most important thing to me is to feel like I can be who I am and the other people respect me for that. Not because they think I look like a bunny, or listen to a particular type of music or seem to have a good amount of friends. I want to work in an atmosphere where all of our members are being loved for being individuals.

So all I can say is that I’m extremely happy and honoured for being part of such an amazing group. We will start building our new store in the beginning of next week and I already know it’s going to look incredible. Actually me and one of my coworkers got an invitation to Denmark to visit one of their biggest stores and went through some training this week. We met some of the most amazing people on that trip – not to mention my colleague, with whom I found a total understanding straight away! Most of all I loved the happiness in Danish people and I will definitely go back someday.

And of course I couldn't leave without having my final Danish cup of coffee, that I bought from this funny little coffee shop at the airport. I'm not so sure about the taste of my Ginger Coffee, but the place definitely had a good spirit!

Now when the things in my life are better than in a long time I can’t be thankful enough for everything I’ve got. I wish we could all be proud of ourselves – everyday.

Welcome back on board,

LONDON 2012 part 2

There’s still so many photos from London I have to show you. So here we go! Those are my morning cupcakes. I planned to eat all of them at once, but those amounts of sugar were too much even to me. So Juho had to help me a bit.

And here’s the harbour near to where we stayed, very close to that Tower Bridge too. It was pretty awesome that place, called St. Katharine Docks. Lots of good restaurants around and beautiful old atmosphere!

I just love macarons. There was this cutest stand in one marketplace at Camden Town. Somehow Juho managed to tell me we don’t need any more macarons so I didn’t buy even one. What a pity…

This is from that famous Ripley’s Believe It Or Not- museum, which takes place in Piccadilly Circus. I basically screamed like a million times but I survived..

Of course I got hungry because all of the screaming, so we went to this great Chinese restaurant also in Piccadilly Circus. I could tell you the name, but then I would have to kill you. Just beware of those chilis that look like paprikas.

Just a random photo of Juho in some random bar somewere in London. But itsn’t he cute?

My co-worker suggested this place when I asked where’s the best breakfasts in London. It turned out to be pretty awesome place! Got the best morning coffee EVER, the best orange juice EVER and some frikking amazing vegeterian tortillas… <3

Juho’s food! (While you’re in England you kinda have to try these things, they say..)

This is how they decorated the place! I’m not much of a yellow fan myself, but I’ve got to admit that those walls made me smile big time.

Couldn’t agree more.

In The Breakfast Club we also tried to ask about the good rock rock bars in London. They told us we should go to a Roadhouse.

Ok so this was taken in Roadhouse, which seemed like a decent bar so we stayed there and watched their cover band playing. It wasn’t exactly what I expected from a rock bar, they played way too much Oasis and somehow I also managed to be the only tattooed person in there, but oh well..  I don’t know what I was doing, or how I was capable to make those faces but once Juho showed me this photo…

…I almost died laughing!

SUPERDRY I found you from London. The ones who don’t know what Superdry is go to Google and type it. It’s like not knowing which is your right hand.

Our new t-shirts. We also took part to Vogue’s Fashion Week in London and Superdry put up a great party that night.

Okay this was it this time. Show me the love and follow my blog! I’ll do the same back. :)

Also my friends in Facebook, press the like-button down there!

Love you guys,

LONDON 2012 part 1

(Oxford Circus)

So me and my boyfriend travelled to London this summer. It was a trip I’m gonna remember for the rest of my life. We booked cheap plane tickets in the beginning of this year and ended up almost forgetting to find a hotel because it was so much before the whole trip was about to take a place. So two days before the flight I was in my Facebook and saw my friend’s status. He was asking if somebody needs a place to stay exactly at the same time we were about to be in London! So we paid almost nothing for that week!

First we flight to Amsterdam to change the plane. I wish I would have more to say about that city, but I was dead tired since we woke up at 3am. All I can remember is that the airport was frikking huge and it was filled with busy people. Of course I wasn’t busy at all (surprise) and we almost missed our plane ‘cos we had to get me a coffee from Starbucks. Hah, no waking up without my morning coffee, period.

We got in London about 5pm and went straight to to buy our tickets for the famous London Underground. It was insanely funny with those trains by the way! We kept taking the wrong ones and ended up in all the wrong places but it was all worth it. I love love love that kind of accidents.

Waiting for the skunk anansie show

(New caps!)

And the happiest accident happened on Wednesday when I wanted to know if there’s any shows in the evening. Juho checked from internet and said there’s Skunk Anansie playing at Village Underground. SKUNK ANANSIE, one of my all time favourite bands! So of course all the tickets were sold but I kept positive and hoped there’s still some left at the door. We waited and waited and finally the doorman came out. He didn’t have any idea but he promised to find the Skunk Anansie’s manager and ask from him. So then I met the manager and heard that it might be possible to find the tickets for us. Juho and I went to look for some food and wait until they open the doors. Finally the manager got out and asked us to come around the corner. He said they didn’t have any tickets left and asked would it be okay if he’d put my name + 1 on the list. I thought he must be joking… And that’s how I got to see, hands down, the best show I’ve ever seen and one of the most charismatic vocalists there is. Respect.
